The following works are 9 ambient recordings from different places in Tbilisi, Georgia. I see them as a kind of counterpoint to the overall nature of touristic documentation, which is – as is this blog – overly visual.
Sound provides such a rich and complex experience; it can convey lots of cultural aspects and details that bloom before the inner eye if given the time.
For documentation purposes I photographed the places of recording, though I recommend to leave them closed before listening (ideally with eyes closed) to the recordings.
The recordings aren‘t as dynamic as they could be, partly in Mono, partly in not too far seperated stereo. All of them are very interesting to me, though for quickstarts, I‘d recommend 3., 5., 6., 7., 8., 9.
